Fantastic moorings for canal boats with great cruising; on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal.
At Venetian marina we have over 150 canal boat mooring spaces at our recently refurbished marina.
Each pontoon will have its own lighting, water and we are currently working on the electricity (please note that we have completed 75% of the marina’s lighting and water on the pontoons).
New Wi-Fi has been installed at the marina and is set up ready for our mooring customers.
Since December 2011 we have been improving the marinas facilities listed below is a small list of the work we have carried out to improve the moorings and marina;
• We have repiled most of the marina's water edge.
• We have taken out all of the old wooden piers
• We have fully completed the narrow boat sales area piers, with electric and water.
• We have nearly completed the pier replacement work, replacing the old piers with galvanised framework and a nonslip decking walkway.
• We have started to install a new water system, with 75% of the pontoons having water on them.
• We have dredged part of the marina.
• We have decorated the outside of all of the buildings at the marina, removing all of the old signs and painting the marina buildings.
• We have started to replace the tarmac walkway around the marina.
• We have created a new canal boat sales office and started to establish a sales basin with over 40 canal boats for sale (as of June 2013).
• We have employed four new members of staff; sales manager, sales executive, assistant accountant and a marine engineer.
• We are in the process of creating new toilet, shower and laundry facilities in part of the chandlery building. These are due to be finished shortly.
• We have moved the engineering department in house, so we can carry out work on your canal boat.
• We have also purchased a small part of a joining land for future expansion.
• We have refurbished the chandlery building and it has now been let to Phil and Maxine Roberts.
• We have licensed out the cafe to Like Cake Catering
